Are the Doors one of our quintessential music groups, having birthed something truly amazing into our music world? Of course! Is it worth $5 million for tapes of their final concert? Probably not. And yes, I did say tapes.

So it’s there final performance and it features never-before-seen footage, which does cause some salivation, but I’m a tad wary of “never-before-seen footage” claims — are these special items archived in some warehouse like the ark of Indiana Jones and the Lost Ark?

If you were to get distribution rights with this, then I could see the price being worth it — you could make a lot of money if you were able to reproduce and sell off your own line. Otherwise, for $5 million, I’m pretty sure you might be able to round up the living members and convince them to give you a personal show in your own home. It’s your choice, check it out.
