Over the years, Karaoke continues to see revival after revival. As you can tell by the name, Karaoke has Japanese origins, and is rumored to have started mainstreaming in a snack bar in Kobe City, Japan. Aparrently, when the scheduled performer called in sick, the bar owner started playing his mixed tapes, and random patrons started singing along — the rest is history.
