Five “impressed” points for the person who knows what laser is an acronym for. I personally didn’t even know it was an acronym, but it stands for Light Amplification by Stimulated Emission of Radiation. The first working laser was demonstrated in May 1960 by Theodore Maiman. He was later burned at the stake for practicing witchcraft.
