American Idol proves once again that it’s the premier train to success station for up-and-coming performers. This time, it took runner-up Clay Aiken to the majestic stage of Manhattan. Aiken stars as the easily-frightened Sir Robin in SPAMalot; the hilarious adaptation of the classical 1975 Monty Python and the Holy Grail.
While Aiken is reported to be doing just swell on stage, it’s British actress Hannah Waddingham who really breathes vibrant comedy into her character as Lady of the Lake. The movie was absolutely hilarious and ridiculous, so I’m quite curious to hear exactly what the live performance is like!

Is the saying “I’m Rick James Bi#$h” famous because of Dave Chapelle or Rick James? I honestly wouldn’t be able to pick out a Rick James song, except for the ones that tell bi#$hes what his name is. I do know I’ve seen Dave Chapelle spout that line a dozen times and it cracks me up every time. Well, I recently heard a rumor that there’s a Rick James sex video up for auction on eBay.
That’s definitely not what we try to promote here, but this auction is of the last recordings from the late Rick James. It features an untouched, raw intro, hook and the uber famous line.

Dave Chapelle is the man, enough said. But what’s with all the rumors a few months ago about Chapelle buggin’ out, leaving his show, and cruisin’ around Africa for a while? I even heard rumors that he was thinking of dumping the show permanently, because of all the media attention and pressure from the show. At first, I thought he was being a typical, ridiculous celebrity and complaining about being super rich and famous. But then one of my friends pointed out how many people we knew (in a very small town) spewing lines from Chapelle’s show, such as “I’m Rick James Bi$%h!” That type of fame is completely unfathomable to most of us little people, and I can only imagine some of the inherent terrors that come with such scrutiny.

On PlayStation of course! Which reminds me, I’ve always thought it must be one of the coolest feelings to play as yourself on a sports video game. Sometimes planning your flights can be an absolute hassle, adding an extra large headache to an already not-so-fun experience. I really don’t mind flying, it’s actually fun. But it’s the surprise seven-hour delays and random avalanches that take out radars, delaying departing flights by days that grind my gears. Anyway, this auction is for a certificate for two roundtrips on AirTran Airways.
As far as I know, most airlines offer compensation for people who volunteer to get bumped. eBay would be an ideal place to really capitalize on the vouchers you get from being bumped. You could make a virtual career out of getting bumped!
