There are always extenuating circumstances for when it comes to health issues. And this is part of why I struggle with giving spare change to homeless people, you just don’t know what landed them on the streets. It could have been a genetic predisposition to alcoholism or it could simply be that they punched out their own ticket to nowhere.
This auction pleads for $100,000 to help them with their treatment for anxiety and panic disorder and agoraphobia. The part that frustrates me is that this auctioneer offers nothing in return. If I were to beg that amount of money from a stranger, I sure would work out some barter to return the favor. Sure, give them the money, with a signed contract that they will help five other people live substantially better lives in return for their treatment.

Unless you’re also simultaneously having a bowel movement, losing weight by taking a bath sounds silly at first. These grapefruit bath bombs claim to provide slimming benefits. But with a little research, their points seem valid. Grapefruit essential oil possesses a compund called D-limonene, which stimulates the lymphatic system to rid the body of toxins and excess body fluid.
The lymphatic system is a major part of the immune system. So, helping out important functions of the body with a pleasant bubble bath sounds like it’s worth a try.

There are countless stop-smoking aids lining the shelves today, which is a good thing. And it will be even better when there are more of these smoking solutions than there are actual brands of cigarettes. Here’s an aid that works to combat some of the actual habits of smoking. The problem with many stop-smoking aids is that they don’t fully address the complete behavior set around smoking. For example, even though both cigars and cigarettes contain tobacco, a person can still be left wanting a cigarette immediately after a cigar simply because their minds have been trained to crave the feel of a cig or the way it pulls.

The health industry is exploding with natural wonders, artificial quick fixes, scientific break-throughs ad nauseum. How the hell can we discern what will actually help us be healthier, and what is merely putting a fine varnish on our bodies that is actually eating it away? A little dramatic, but it’s scary to think of all the adverse affects now surfacing from products we’ve been using for years.
This auction for Dead Sea Mineral Body Salt Scrub sounds like just another shallow luxury health item, but with some research, you can find that the Dead Sea’s mineral content does offer vibrant wellbeing. When in doubt, look for natural sources that have been around for a long time, increasing the chance that if it produced negative health affects, we’d have known about it by now. Better safe than sorry.

I recently heard an advertisement for home drug tests. My first reaction was disgust. I felt a shimmer of defeat for parenthood at large that parents can’t trust their kids enough to simply ask them if they’re doing drugs. Then I remembered countless times that I held back tidbits of truth from my parents. But all the same, I think if any parent is going to ask their kids to do a drug test, they better expect a good degree of rebellion coming right back around.
Forcing something like a drug test on a kid who’s already doing drugs is like poking sticks at a caged animal. I do believe these tests can serve some good for kids that are really far gone and under serious addiction. Otherwise, parents should seek alternative methods that maintain open communication.

As much as I enjoy working out, I’ve never been very interested in really bulking up. My primary interest has been working on toning my muscles. So I thought it was interesting to read up on amino acids and their relationship with proteins, the foundation of muscle.
